Supporting actor, drama
Stuck with one of the year's worst stories (murder and its cover-up), Plemons made do, and given one of the year's best stories (the death of his girlfriend), Leonard made hay. You could nominate almost anyone from The Wire or Lost and feel safe, but the three actors above had standout seasons. As for substitutes, consider Vincent Kartheiser or John Slattery from Mad Men, or Justin Chambers, who got the same kind of finale gift and lift from Grey's as Leonard did from House.

I just really need to rant. From a 24-point lead to a 6-point deficit...are you kidding me?!! I hate the Celtics. *angry*

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR, DRAMA
KEN TUCKER: I don't think there was a finer TV arc this season than the one Michael K. Williams provided as the likable stone killer Omar in The Wire. And for me, the standout guy in Mad Men is John Slattery's amoral silver-fox ad exec. Who do you like?
GILLIAN FLYNN: I agree. It's all about those brilliant ensembles. I'm with you on Williams — the guy can make a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios fascinating. For my Mad man, though, I vote for Vincent Kartheiser's slippery young exec, Pete Campbell: greasy on the outside — slimily insecure on the inside!

Supporting Drama Actor
Possible Nominee: Vincent Kartheiser, "Mad Men"
Spotlight: Vincent Kartheiser's conniving role is the fascinating epitome of the Madison Avenue huckster: He's a devil lurking behind the grinning face of a cherub who could sell poison to a nun.
Couldn't help but post this. I love how they described Pete. Haha,

edit: TCA Awards nominations are in. Lots of Mad Men nominations. But none solely for Vinnie. =(
